Online roundtable discussion on the impact of the Corona Virus crisis on LSPs

We are all affected by the impact of the current health and economic crisis sparked by the Corona Virus. Demand for face-to-face interpreting has collapsed, remote interpreting has suddenly spiked. Demand for translations is changing depending on the target industries of our members, and work may significantly reduce the longer this crisis goes on. Our key resources, especially interpreters, are suddenly facing a scenario with less or no work at all. Many of our members are moving their operations entirely into the cloud and adopt a working-from-home model.

State and federal governments have intervened with a range of measures mostly supporting businesses to keep staff employed and reduce costs. This leaves our members trying to get their head around the fine-print – and frequent changes – of these very welcomed measures, not only for themselves but also for their interpreters and translators.

Please join the board and other AALC members at our roundtable discussion on 15 April 2020 at 12:00 noon AEST on the effects this crisis has on LSPs, industry professionals and key stakeholders and how we as members of the peak body of our industry can share experiences and work together to overcome this very unique challenge.

This online roundtable discussion is open for members with access guaranteed, and a limited amount of seats is offered to non-members. Registrations will open soon.

Please note that this event replaces the webinar scheduled for 21 April 2020 on vendor management.
